I participated in a pool campus drive at JSPM's RSCOE, Pune, for a role with a package of 3.25 LPA. The selection process began with an online test followed by technical and HR interview rounds.
Online Test
The online test included seven sections that covered various topics such as aptitude, verbal reasoning, logical reasoning, and essay writing. Only students who cleared this round proceeded to the technical round held on the same day.
Technical Round
The technical round consisted of multiple-choice questions focused on SQL, Operating Systems (OS), Computer Networks (CN), and two coding problems.
Coding Problems:
- Calculate the area of a triangle, given its base and height.
- Identify and print the maximum element in an array.
Both coding problems were straightforward.
Technical Interview
This interview was conducted at the Tech Mahindra office in Pune. It lasted for 25 minutes, and I was asked a mix of technical and personal questions.
Questions Asked:
- Introduce yourself.
- Since I mentioned having a 1200+ rating on chess.com, I was asked, "Would you play chess with V. Anand if given the chance?"
- Provide examples of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- What is HTML?
- Explain the types of lists and heading tags in HTML.
- What is the purpose of the "===" operator in Java?
- Do you have any questions for us?
HR Interview
Students who cleared the technical interview proceeded to the HR interview, which was scheduled 15 minutes after the technical round. This session was conducted to evaluate interest and commitment to the company.
Questions Asked:
- Introduce yourself.
- Share details about your family background.
- Are you open to relocating?
- Can you work in any shift?
- How long do you see yourself working with us?
- Do you have any questions for us?
This interview lasted for 10 minutes.
Result
I was selected.
